Earlier this week, crotchety old rock legend Neil Young turned heads when he said that he was totally OK with the idea of Donald Trump using his music at campaign rallies. That’s pretty weird! And you’d think it would be the sort of thing that Stephen Colbert would bring up when he had Young on his show last night. Not so!
Last night, Young was on the Colbert show to talk about his new album EARTH and his PONO music player, which is still a thing, as well as his environmental concerns. He did get a bit political on the show, offhandedly mentioning that he likes Bernie Sanders and doing a comedy bit about genetically modified corn. Here’s the loopy Young/Colbert conversation:
EARTH is out 6/17 on Reprise Records.
