The current version of Swans will release their final album next month, and we’ve already heard its title track “The Glowing Man.” This new single, “When Will I Return,” features vocals by Michael Gira’s wife, Jennifer. When the album was announced, Gira explained the meaning behind the song:

I wrote the song ‘When Will I Return? specifically for Jennifer Gira to sing. It’s a tribute to her strength, courage, and resilience in the face of a deeply scarring experience she once endured, and that she continues to overcome daily.
