Prophets Of Rage Announce Massive Tour

Last week, after teasing and speculation, three quarters of Rage Against The Machine announced that they’d formed a new supergroup called Prophets Of Rage. Tom Morello, Tim Commerford, and Brad Wilk — all the RATM members except Zach De La Rocha — have teamed up with Public Enemy’s Chuck D and DJ Lord and Cypress Hill’s B-Real. At their shows, they concentrate on RATM songs, but they also do a few from Public Enemy and Cypress Hill.

The band played its first show last week at the Whiskey A Go Go in Los Angeles, and they were supposed to play a surprise set at New York’s Governor’s Ball festival yesterday, but that day of the festival was canceled. They ended up playing at the Brooklyn venue Warsaw instead. And if you didn’t catch either of those two shows, you missed your chance to see them play somewhere small. They will now spend the rest of the year playing massive North American arenas and shed venues. The band just announced a huge tour, which will open up in Cleveland during the Republican National Convention. We’ve got the dates below.
