Members of Australian bands Total Control, UV Race, Dick Diver, and others have joined forces in a new group called Terry. They’re set to drop their debut album, Terry HQ, in a couple weeks. We’ve already heard lead single “Don’t Say Sorry” and followup “Third War,” which both put inventive spins on late-’70s punk and classic psych. Their latest single, “Chitter Chatter,” is a mix of the aesthetics of the previous singles with warped, psych-tinged riffs intertwining with hard-hitting punk-leaning drums. A multi-part harmony floats above the soundscape with some dark existential lyrics setting an eerily delightful mood. Listen.
Terry HQ is out 7/1 on Upset The Rhythm. Pre-order it here.
