Infinity Cat signees Toby Coke recently released “Never Be Alone,” the lead single from their upcoming debut album Time Negator. The song was a biting garage-burner barking at loneliness in hopes of hearing the echo as companionship, simultaneously wounded and aggressive. Today the band revealed the title track from the new LP, and it’s a much blurrier tune that drenches their previous crunch in a shower of reverb. They sound like a spacier Parquet Courts, as a whipping guitar cracks against haphazardly melodic power chords. Think “Outside,” but double the length and twice as bleary. Listen below.
Time Negator is out 7/22 as the first installment of Infinity Cat’s third annual cassette series. Subscribe to the series here.
