Earlier this summer, Unknown Mortal Orchestra gave us “First World Problem,” a standalone single recorded during time off from touring. Today, they share the video for the track, which shows two lovers trying to reconcile their differences through dance. The video was directed by James Lees and choreographed by Kianí Del Valle, who said, “I aimed to create a dialogue between two art forms — film and music. I wanted the video to be a response to the band’s lyrics and musical melodies, rather than showing literally what the song is saying. I am a big fan of silent films and how unspoken language can add a second layer to speech.” Check out the video below.
