Watch The Avalanches’ First Full-Band Reunion Show At Splendour In The Grass

Australian plunderphonics enigmas the Avalanches made their big comeback this summer with the highly anticipated Wildflower and a few live shows, but thanks to some pesky visa issues, all of those shows ended up being DJ sets instead of live band performances. Their set at Australia’s Splendour In The Grass festival last night was their first full-band concert in over a decade, with Tony Di Blasi behind the decks, Robbie Chater on guitar, Paris Jeffree on drums, and singer Eliza Gramm and rapper Spank Rock providing live vocals. The set featured a mix of new and old material, plus a mashup of “Frontier Psychiatrist” and Gnarls Barkley’s “Crazy.” Watch some footage below.
