Last year, the Louisville folksinger Joan Shelly released Over And Even, a lovely and bucolic album, and we wrote an Album Of The Week column about it. Since then, Shelley has recorded two newer songs, “Cost Of The Cold” and “Here And Whole,” and released them as a 7″ single. That single’s A-side now has a new video, hand-drawn and animated by artist Douglas Miller. The clip, in which lovely pencil sketches come to life, shows Shelley’s face along with wolves and birds, and it plugs right into the DIY naturalism of the song. Check it out below.
