Chris Brown was arrested yesterday on charges of assault with a deadly weapon following a standoff with the Los Angeles Police Department at his Tarzana home. Now, NBC Los Angeles reports that Brown was released on $250,000 bail late last night. His arraignment is scheduled for 9/20.
Brown’s lawyer Mark Geragos, who has been involved in a number of high-profile cases throughout the years, tweeted last night thanking “everyone for their support and well wishes” and said that “the allegations against him are demonstrably false.”

After Brown was released, Ray J posted a video to Brown’s official Instagram page expressing support for Brown and “the whole movement,” adding that he’s “not happy with how people can take a false story and blow it up into way more than it should be.”
