Euanwhosarmy – “For Nothing” (Feat. Lyndsey Lupe)

Before he staked out his own dark, muttery corner of the Bristol trip-hop universe, Tricky made dark, muttery music with Massive Attack. After separating from the group for over two decades, Tricky rejoined them this year on the Ritual Spirit EP’s “Take It There” and onstage.

At the end of the month, Tricky is releasing the Obia EP, a collection of tracks from some of his favorite new acts, on his own False Idols imprint, and one of said acts is Euanwhosarmy, the new project from Massive Attack’s Robert “3D” Del Naja and longtime collaborator Euan Dickinson. Their song “For Nothing” is, for lack of a better word, pretty Massive Attack-y, a slow creep of buzzing electronics under Lyndsey Lupe’s narcotized vocals. Hear it below.

Tricky has some US tour dates coming up:

10/20 Los Angeles, CA @ El Rey Theatre
10/21 Solana Beach, CA @ Belly Up Tavern
10/23 San Francisco, CA @ Independent
10/27 Philadelphia, PA @ Underground Arts
10/28 New York, NY @ Webster Hall
10/29 Cambridge, MA @ The Sinclair
10/30 Chicago, IL @ Double Door

The Obia EP is out 9/30 on False Idols. Pre-order it here.
