Sadie Dupuis’ solo debut, Slugger, under her Sad13 moniker is officially set to drop next week. To most indie fans, Dupuis’ voice is instantly recognizable as the cutting force driving through Speedy Ortiz’s expertly layered noise, but on her own she’s moving away from grungy guitars toward shimmering synths and R&B grooves. We’ve already heard about a third of the 11-track project, and today the whole thing is available to stream via NPR. Check it out below.
Slugger is out 11/11 via Carpark.
