It’s been nearly five years since Japandroids released their last album, the fiery instant classic Celebration Rock. And it’s taken that amount of time for the Vancouver duo to finally come out with the follow-up. That follow-up is now here. Next week, Japandroids release their searing and triumphant third album Near To The Wild Heart Of Life. The new album continues the sloppy, searching road-trip punk rock aesthetic of its predecessors, but it also slows things down a bit, adding in grander choruses and occasional keyboard sounds. We’ve already posted the title track and “No Known Drink Or Drug” (as well as an interview with the band), and now you can stream the whole album below, via NPR.
Near To The Wild Heart Of Life is out 1/27 on Anti-.
