Me Not You – “Relief”

Me Not You – “Relief”

“Relief” is a crunchy, high-powered pop-rock track with late-’90s overtones. A powerhouse track in the tradition of Garbage and Republica, it makes a great impression for its creators, the NYC duo Me Not You — though there’s a chance you already know Nikki Taylor and Eric Zeiler from their work in the band Little Daylight. Taylor offered some context for “Relief” in a statement:

This song is about getting kicked out of Catholic high school. It was a really painful, yet freeing experience. In “Relief,” I wanted to try to capture that moment of anxiety-ridden catharsis.

Listen below, and stick around for Me Not You’s debut single “Bulletproof.”
