Mellow Chicago indie rockers Whitney made a whole lot of people happy with their 2016 debut album Light On The Lake, and they’re now following it up with a new 12″ single that features a couple of cover tunes. They’ve taken on both “You’ve Got A Woman,” a 1975 track from the Dutch psych-pop band Lion, and “I’m Gonna Hurry (As Slow As I Can),” a semi-obscure number from the great Dolly Parton. Neither of those songs sound anything like each other, but Whitney have rendered them both in their trademark dazed, melodic style. In their hands, they both sound like Whitney songs.
