Today is the day of the 121st annual Boston Marathon, the race that brings runners from across the world to one of our greatest cities. And the enigmatic vaporwave prankster James Ferraro has recorded a piece of music inspired by the Marathon, a 13-minute instrumental suite titled simply Fanfare For The Boston Marathon 2017. Unlike most of Ferraro’s music, this is a fairly straightforward piece of experimental classical music, with horns and woodwinds dramatically saluting the runners who push themselves to do this sort of thing. Listen to it below.
