Shut Up, Dude: This Week’s Best And Worst Comments

It’s been a surprisingly low-key SXSW (aside from the Stereogum parties which were lit obviously) and I think that’s a good thing. Many of the usual corporate sponsors sat out this year, or moved to their money to Interactive Week. That means fewer distracting pop star drop-ins (coughGaga) and more attention for the DIY artists busting their asses here to find an audience. Hoping to see CHAI and Fury today — if you got other recommendations, drop ‘em in the comments.

You know what, this young woman has to have led a seriously fucked up life so far. Honestly, it’s not her fault, and if she wants to spend her life stoned to deal, that’s not extraordinarily surprising. I was on the fence about Jackson until I saw that documentary (especially those locks on the doors and the deranged faxes). I can guarantee you Paris never watched Leaving Neverland. Jesus Christ, I wouldn’t if I were her.

I feel bad for her in a lot of ways. Hope the weed helps. Her father was an evil man.

I was obviously just joking but let’s get this as the most downvoted comment of the week. It deserves it.

What do Ben and Leaving Neverland have in common?

They’re both products of when Michael Jackson loves a rat.

You don’t think Wade and James carefully thought out their story?! You don’t think they didn’t construct their lies to fit into certain times and events to give them credibility. Such as this…MJ took James to a store where they bought figurines and glasses but James can easily say MJ bought wedding rings?! Afterall they were in a jewelry store shopping so that is definite proof James’s story is true….Wade and James read the best books on the phyche of pedophiles, read books on sexual abuse victims, also they are both wannabe actors. So with Dan Reed and their families, together, they can all put together a very convincing and emotionally provoking documentary about being groomed, being assualted, how they felt, and construct a believable image of MJ as pedophile (after all he was weird, messed up his face, was a drug addict and pedo allegations were already attached to him anyway). People act like a riveting documentary can not be the same as a riveting movie because it’s called a “documentary”. It’s not Year 1995 or year 2005….we have access to more information and many perspectives than we did before. Some of us aren’t so quick to believe the worst of someone. Especially not because of a video of MJ shopping with James…and there’s many videos of MJ shopping with other kids (boys and girls) and adults. But this one proves he’s guilty right?
