I don’t think I have to convince you why this contest is cool. Neil Young is the most influential songwriter of his generation.

Watch a preview of “Comes A Time” (ASX) from Heart Of Gold, check your local theater for showtimes, and enter to win Neil’s entire CD catalog! Sweepstakes ends 4/10 @ noon. One entry per person. Good luck. CONTEST CLOSED!

While you wait to hear from us if you won, check out the wealth of random Neil Young music videos on YouTube. I’m sure you’ve seen “This Note’s For You” (it even won an MTV VMA, I think), but what about:

“Wondering” from Everybody’s Rocking?
“Touch The Night” from Landing On Water?
“Over & Over” from Ragged Glory?

There’s even some Bernard Shakey action.

But, here’s my favorite of the bunch: Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young performing “Down By The River.” Neil joined CS&N (fun fact: Phil Hartman designed their logo) a month after Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere’s release in May ’69. Not sure if this video’s from late ’69 or early ’70, or what TV show it’s from, but a good way to start your week. (UPDATE: Eric from MarathonPacks tell us the clip is from the series permiere of ABC’s Music Scene 9/22/1969.)
