K-Fed, J-May To Appear On CSI

CSI, which featured a Coldplay ringtone last season, will work more rock ‘n’ roll into its scripts this fall. Well, not so much rock ‘n’ roll as adult-contemporary pop and terrible hip-hop.

AP reports that John Mayer will promote his new album Continuum on the CBS series’ two-part season premiere, 9/21 and 9/28.

The Grammy-winning singer will perform his current single, “Waiting on the World to Change,” and “Slow Dancing in a Burning Room” in a scene set in a Las Vegas nightclub. … Danny Bonaduce guest stars as an ex-rocker who is murdered.

John Mayer playing John Mayer … I know, you’re not impressed. But, only a few weeks later, CSI will host Kevin Federline’s acting debut! He’ll play a teenage hooligan who harasses the investigators. “It’s the first time I’ve actually had a speaking role,” K-Fed tells People. Speaking? Kevin should have no problem with that.
