Let’s Rob…

The best thing about Snakes On A Plane was the title, and we assumed the same would’ve been said of Let’s Rob Mick Jagger, the new ABC sitcom starring Donal Logue. Now we’ll never know. The tea-drinking granddad has been removed from the plot, and the show’s now called The Knights of Prosperity.

NY Post reports…

Jagger was one of the biggest selling points at ABC for the comedy from the executive producer of David Letterman’s “Late Show,” Rob Burnett. Now it seems that Jagger will not appear in the show after the brief cameo he makes in the first episode. And word is that the producers may be looking for a new star to rob.

Insiders concede that they have not been able to get Jagger to make himself available for more camera time. There is not even the vague promise of filming being possible any time soon…

In recent weeks, the network has been playing down Jagger’s role in the sitcom – calling it a buddy comedy where Jagger is nothing more than a background figure. It has not even released a photo of Jagger on the set – standard procedure for a network trying to hype the launch of new series. Discussions about who – if anyone – could replace Jagger could not be confirmed immediately.

How about Let’s Rob Keith Richards? Doesn’t seem so hard. Dude’s always leaving his wallet in coconut trees and shit.
