Deeply fuzzed Austin garage trio Woven Bones create a very specific rattle, but find ways to shoot new angles into the reverb-lined howls. See, for instance, the VU-ish vibe on In And Out And Back Again’s lead track “If It Feels Alright.” Or the varying degrees of that dark, scruffy Stooges thing. They’re speedier and punkier on In And Out standout “Your Way With My Life.” Its hazy, skull/sunglasses/black cat-filled video was put together by Andy Bones, James Oswald, Daniel Hill, and Jared Leibowich. It reminds me of the Misfits graffiti someone sprayed on the side of a blueberry packing plant in my hometown.
