You have to love the influences Montreal/Toronto duo Thunderheist list on their MySpace: “Isis = Redbull Vodka, Jazz, French Boys and everything Spanish! Grahm= drum machines and dirty dirty synths and asian chicks … with bangs!” … why not! Isis and Grahm recently performed their last show, but that didn’t stop Memory Tapes from turning in a darker, more solitary, hollowed-out take on their amped-up club-packing “Drive-In.” More ghosts, less Redbull, but still suitable for dancing.
The remake’s part of the Bacardi B-Live campaign. There are others. One involves Amrit’s favorite, Black Eyed Peas. You can investigate via Twitter.
