With candidates from both sides of the aisle kicking their presidential campaigns into high gear, it’s time to start thinking campaign theme song. Bill enlisting the Mac’s “Don’t Stop” was a high-water mark for presidential politics. And now, here’s the first contender for Camp Hillary’s attention, written by James Porte (produced Lauryn Hill, Michael Jackson, Nas). By our lyrical analysis, Hillary’s most attractive qualification is that she’s a woman. Grrl power!
(Editor’s Note: Stereogum does not fall under the umbrella of §315 of the Communications Act mandating equal time to similarly situated political candidates … but we invite Rudy, Obama et al supporters to create equally shitty campaign songs for us to deride.)
