Sailors With Wax Wings – “And Clash And Clash Of Hoof And Heel” & Album Info

This “And Clash And Clash Of Hoof And Heel” video is more a teaser (or “a really elaborate song stream,” to quote Jessica) than an actual “video,” but it gives you a complete listen to another track from Sailor With Wax Wings’ forthcoming self-titled Stephen Crane-inspired debut, so it’s worth a look. As mentioned when I posted “If I Should Cast Off This Tattered Coat,” SWWW is the project of Pyramids mastermind R. Loren and a very large supporting cast. This particular track features J. Leah, Colin Marston, Nadja’s Aidan Baker, Slowdive’s Simon Scott, Dominick Fernow (Prurient, Cold Cave, Ash Pool), Ted Parsons (Swans, Godflesh, Jesu), and one very active stag. After you watch/listen, take a look at the distinctive cover art created by Mr. David Tibet.

The tracklist:

01 “Soft Gardens Near The Sun, Keep Your Distant Beauty”
02 “There Came A Drooping Maid With Violets”
03 “If I Should Cast Off This Tattered Coat”
04 “And Clash And Clash Of Hoof And Heel”
05 “Yes, I Have A Thousand Tongues, And Nine And Ninety-Nine Lie”
06 “God Fashioned The Ship Of The World Carefully”
07 “There Was One Who Sought A New Road”
08 “Strange That I Should Have Grown So Suddenly Blind”
