Arcade Fire Visit The Daily Show, Announce New Tour Dates

So we live in a country where, for a week anyway, a proper indie band is #1 with an unqualifiedly impressive sales week (the vinyl alone would be #67) , and its indie label owner is indifferent to the accomplishment (“the whole chart thing is kind of like sports“), and the knowledge that the next Dr. Luke pop tart’s sales ascension is right around the corner. But no matter how many terrible artists top the charts the rest of the year, they can’t take that image above away from us.
