New Suzanne Vega – “Frank & Ava”

Where ya been, Suzanne? The songwriter behind the world’s first perfected MP3 will release Beauty & Crime this July, her first album of original material since Songs In Red And Gray in ’01. On first listen of the album’s lead single “Frank & Ava” we thought the verse melody recalled “Turn A Square.” Maybe that’s just ’cause we heard French Shins this morning. Take a listen at her site. That’s KT Tunstall on background vox in the chorus. Here’s what the CD will look like when you get in your car and drive to the record store to buy it (just pretend), styled up in Frank & Ava’s heyday.
