Antony & The Johnsons’ fourth album Swanlights is maybe my favorite. From start to finish it has a gorgeous tonal and emotional consistency to it. There’s something very relaxed and spacious in the approach, a more Classical mindset. You’ve maybe heard the more upbeat soul of the horn-lined “Thank You For Your Love.” It’s the collection’s red herring. The other 10 tracks are more in line with “Flétta,” his beautiful duet with Björk. I say “duet,” but Antony takes to the shadows, allowing Björk’s voice to stretch and carry much of the tune. Consider it a hushed analog to “The Dull Flame Of Desire.” Or on its own.

I wasn’t expecting the song to pop up online anytime soon, but Antony posted a link to Tumblr via Twitter.

Update: Turns out the previously mentioned links were not official. The audio has been removed at the label’s request.

Swanlights is out 10/12 via Secretly Canadian. Abrams Image will simultaneously publish the previously mentioned special book edition. Full disclosure: Antony and I like cocorosie.
