Darwin Deez – “Constellations” Video

We posted the “Radar Detector” video (one of my favorite videos of the year) back in March. Since then New Yorker Darwin Deez has gotten a lot of attention in the UK, playing T In the Park, Bestival, and as part of a recent NME tour — he was number seven on their best new artists of 2010 list. “Constellations” is a new video to an older single, and like “Radar Detector” and “Up In The Clouds,” it matches staccato guitar pop to Deez’s charming vocals. In the video he plays the host of a NOVA-type show who can’t get his mind off his work, despite some appealing sexual distractions. The clip was directed by Terri Timely. They’ve also directed videos for Modest Mouse, Joanna Newsom, Midlake, and St. Vincent.

Darwin Deez’ self-titled album is out now on Lucky Number.
