Bonnaroo Lineup 2011

It’s the 10th anniversary of Bonnaroo, the annual mud-encrusted farm party that’s turned into a cross-genre music festival of rather extravagant proportion. For this year’s throwdown they’ve really run the gamut of how topsy turvy this record industry is by tapping Grammy Album Of The Year winner Arcade Fire and Album Of The Year loser Eminem, along with Q*bert enthusiasts the Strokes, the legendary Buffalo Springfield, and two of this young year’s Billboard #1 selling artists, Amos Lee and the Decemberists, both of whom sold under 150K copies combined on their respective chart-topping weeks. The state of the industry is weird. The state of Bonnaroo seems like about as much fun as every year, though, which is a considerable amount of fun! Also of note on the agenda: Lil Wayne, Iron & Wine, Big Boi, Explosions In The Sky, Twin Shadow, Kylesa, Beirut, Robyn, Matt & Kim, Deerhunter, Sleigh Bells, Smith Westerns, Man Man, Best Coast, Wavves and on. The comedian lineup, one of Bonnaroo’s best selling points, hasn’t been announced yet, but they did get Conan O’Brien to do this lineup announce video, which you can watch below. (Note to Bonnacrew: Missed opportunity not flashing your logo somewhere around Conan’s mug. I would have made that this post’s associated image.)
