Download Snacky Tunes, A Free Live Comp Feat. Frankie Rose, Suckers, Surfer Blood, Freelance Whales

The team that created the food-and-music minded IFC show Dinner With The Band are serving up Snacky Tunes Vol. 1, a free collection of live tracks recorded over the course of 68 some-odd installments of the similarly food-and-music minded web-radio show Snacky Tunes. I was going to reach out to Finger On The Pulse, the creators and hosts of Snacky Tunes, to ask the reason for their fixation upon music and food, but that didn’t happen so I will just assume, fairly, it’s because they are both things that rule. The 16-track Vol. 1 includes choice takes from the show’s guests including the headlined Frankie Rose, Suckers, and Surfer Blood, in addition to Oberhofer, Au Revoir Simone, Freelance Whales, Lightspeed Champion’s alter-ego Blood Orange, and We Are Scientists who, to their credit, are still a thing. That’s a nice overview of their guestlist, though conspicuously absent from the list is future winner of Top Chef All-Stars Richard Blais, who has been a guest on the show and frankly should be a guest on more things in general.

Download Snacky Tunes Vol. 1 here. The show streams live from 2-3PM on, and its archives can be perused via their iTunes podcast page.
