More like New Quentin Of The Stone Age Video, really. Shit kicks off in the shit-kicking guitar-squealing rumbler “3’s & 7’s” clip with a quick cameo from Bulby, but then the action moves into more fitting, Grindhouse territory — particularly, Tarantino’s B-movie/exploitation genre homage Death Proof (see: scantily clad hotties, dusty hot rod chases). In fairness, though, the stripper sequence and Rose McGowan look-alike is pure Rodriguez. No zombies, but some gratuitous, vulgar-is gore put it perfectly in step with the Quentin/Robert double-feature’s interstitial coming attraction sequence.
Era Vulgaris is out now via Interscope.
