Coldplay – “Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall”

Brian Eno is back at the helm again for Coldplay’s followup to Viva La Vida, and the first single they’ve released since that last LP is out today. It’s certainly post-Viva in production style — it’s bright and upbeat a la “Lovers In Japan,” laced with a guitar line like the Edge but more slippery — but they still haven’t done anything about that “comma/full stop” lyric since revealing it Tuesday so, be warned:

The band’s taking this song to the summer festivals, and is releasing the song digitally today everywhere but the UK, which must wait until 6/5.
