Pictureplane – “Post Physical”

Travis Egedy, aka 2009 BTW Pictureplane, has an amazing way of ambitiously mixing unexpected styles and noisy/smooth cross-genre sounds to create some of the most effortlessly catchy (and impressively DIY polished, living/breathing) dance tracks. A couple years ago I said Dark Rift was “the dance record of the summer for people who aren’t used to dancing.” Thee Physical, a mid-2011 favorite, ups the ante and adventurousness — its 11 (dud-free) songs should convince the remaining wallflowers. We posted “Real Is A Feeling.” Now take a listen to “Post Physical.” Judith Halberstam would be stoked.
