Thurston Moore Plays Solo, And Bob Mould Joins The Roots, On Fallon

Thurston Moore brought two Demolished Thoughts tracks to Jimmy Fallon last night: He played “Circulation” on-air and “Blood Never Lies” as a web exclusive with the help of members of Hushed Arbors and Sunburned Hand Of The Man plus Samara Lubelski, etc. The solo album’s out now via Matador. Bob Mould also showed up, performing a brief chunk of Sugar’s “If I Can’t Change Your Mind” with help from the Roots. As Fallon notes, Mould’s See A Little Light: The Trail Of Rage And Melody autobiography is still fresh (and 1992’s Copper Blue was just remastered and released on vinyl for the first time), so this wasn’t as random as it seems at first blush. Plus, sometimes it’s just nice getting as many “underground” rock legends in a room as possible. Next time they should invite Mascis, too. Take a look:
