The Year’s Best Selling Music, According To Apple

Ahh, the kidz and their iTunes. Steve Jobs’s little corp. that could released rankings (though not figures, that’s privileged information) for the best selling albums and singles of 2007. And iPod Nation loves them some Maroon 5, Winehouse, Kanye, and Fergie! MTV brings us news of the iTunes sales charts, noting the results are “so similar to the Billboard albums chart and Hot 100 singles chart, both of which measure sales at traditional retailers (as well as online sales).” The unavoidable conclusion MTV failed to draw? Online purchasers have just as shitty taste as brick-and-mortar buyers!

Maroon 5 – It Won’t Be Soon Before Long
Amy Winehouse – Back To Black
Kanye West – Graduation
Daughtry – Daughtry
Colbie Caillat – Coco
Linkin Park – Minutes To Midnight
Various Artists – High School Musical 2 soundtrack
Timbaland – Timbaland Presents: Shock Value
John Mayer – Continuum
Various Artists – Hairspray soundtrack
