Austra Sparkle 12"

BTW Austra’s excellent debut Feel It Break has spawned the Sparkle 12″, a 6-song EP featuring remixes of “Spellwork,” “Lose It,” and “Beat And The Pulse” by folks like Planningtorock, Mark Pistel, and Still Going. Here’s the collection’s lead tweak, MNDR’s dark, hollowed “Nighttime” take on “Spellwork.”

The 12″ tracklist:

A1 “Spellwork (MNDR Nighttime Remix)”
A2 “Lose It (Mark Pistel Dub Remix)”
A3 “Lose It (Planningtorock Remix)”

B1 “Beat And The Pulse (Still Going Remix)”
B2 “Beat And The Pulse (Steffi Bass-Break Dub Remix)”
B3 “Beat And The Pulse (Kool Thing Remix)”

The digital release has all of the above, plus additional “Lose It” remixes by 120 Days, Young Galaxy, and two more by Mark Pistel. (You won’t find Diamond Rings’ “Lose It” — that’s something else entirely.)

The Sparkle 12″ is out 7/26 digitally and 8/23 on vinyl via Domino/Paper Bag. You can pre-order it now. And, like a match made in your high school goth daydreams, Austra’s heading on tour with fellow BTW alumns Cold Cave:
