Jens Plays An Empty Bar And Outside A Hotel

Yesterday we mentioned Take-Away founder Vincent Moon in reference to his R.E.M. project, but today it’s Jens Lekman who’s on the otherside of La Blogothèque’s cameras, strutting his Mr. Indie Rock stuff in Portland, Oregon. Though, actually, Vincent didn’t shoot this one — it was captured by the mysterious “One Shot Seattle.” Take a look at a guitar and accordion “Shirin,” captured in the Someday Lounge.

Lovely accompaniment, Kristin. That sole bargoer doesn’t look entirely into it but hey — gothy b’tender. Jens told us at Webster that “Shirin” was written for his old hairdresser in Kortedala, the woman who was “the only thing that produced any beauty in Kortedala outside [his] recording studio.” That dude is smooth. And we’re guessing those are Shirin’s beauty-producing hands coming from the clouds to tend to Lekman’s coif. ANYWAY, there’s a Someday shot “Into Eternity” as well as a hotel-side radio-homaging b-side after the jump.

Then, to a new locale, here’s the sweetly nostalgic “Radio NRJ.”

He really should try to sell that as an advert. Of course, Jens is no stranger to La Blog’s spotlight: Remember his Arthur Russelling?
