Drake Working With Stevie Wonder, Releases “Headlines” MP3

Drake’s at the point in his career, and we are at a point in blog journalism, where the simple fact that he’s collaborating with another artist makes big headlines (see: The Weeknd, SBTRKT), so I’m not sure how we characterize this bit about him linking up with the god Stevie Wonder. “Exciting”? Understatement, obviously, in particular for Drake. The Toronto Rap&Blues man told MuchMusic (via P4K) “Stevie Wonder is a very close friend of mine. I’m honored to call him a friend, someone who embraced me very early in this music business… Stevie Wonder is actually on Take Care… He helped me out with a lot of the music, just came and sat with me, listened to my music, told me where I could add a couple things to make it more sonically appealing, and not only that but we actually are writing together, which is an incredible experience… He was supposed to do two songs and he did like six. It was incredible.” To wit, Stevie joined Drake at the latter’s October’s Very Own festival (other guests included Rick Ross, Weezy, Nas, and Lil Wayne) — video of that is below, along with MP3 of the appropriately titled “Headlines,” which is what it is Drake tends to make, reportedly the first single from Drake’s forthcoming Take Care LP:
