Victoria Hesketh aka tenori-on slinger/breast-supporter Little Boots has an LP to followup her 2009 debut Hands. It’s still untitled, but lead single “Shake” exists as a middling techno/house opening salvo. It’s better in Azari & III’s hands, though; the Toronto house heroes don’t do much beside trim down the beat, giving it an even more minimal feel, but that’s enough to create plenty of opportunities for aspiring beat-minders to make loops and sidestep the original’s vocal, which is the direction in which you should step to the vocal. Grab this one if you’re looking for interstitial loops to transition between sparse house tracks in your DJ set.
My guess is that Azari & III’s “Manic” video won’t place too highly on the Gummys results, but it should.
