Did anyone catch the Marc Rebillet stream with Harry Mack this week? 2 hours of off the dome magic https://youtu.be/ggLpFa6CQyU
Digging it more and more after a couple listens. It’s a grower
That was a fun read. I'm sure like me, if you asked these artists the same question on a different day, you'd get a different answer. My fav song that wasn't mentioned is "Most of the Time"
Jason Isbell posted this on Twitter today. I find it very soothing, thought I’d share https://youtu.be/-CIOhY4ysRE
Scored tix to see MMJ do a 3 night run in Chicago in November. Can’t wait, will be my 1st visit to Chi-town.
My appreciation of The Hip has definitely grown as I’ve aged. The 4 album run of Up to Here / Road Apples / Fully Completely / Day For Night is about as good as it gets These songs sound great on 1st listen This dropping right before May 2-4 weekend is peak Canadiana 🇨🇦
I had the same thought. Curious to see the scene in context. I believe Aretha did come up with the R-E-S-P-E-C-T idea which is the part they show in the trailer. Hopefully Otis is properly acknowledged
“Veteran band records a back to basics album of blues covers” might be a tired trope, but I’m enjoying this new Black Keys album more than anything they’ve done in at least a decade. Though I’ll admit I’m a sucker for anything Burnside or Kimbrough related
Public Service Announcement: The 2002 documentary ‘You See Me Laughin’ which focuses on a lot of the blues artists the Keys cover on this album is currently on YouTube in it’s entirety https://youtu.be/XiW3oPv1vZc
Khaled is an absolute clown but that Buju, Capleton & Bounty Killer song is amazing. LEGENDS
I’m not sure if it got close enough to completion to qualify for this list, but the fact we’ll never get that Madlib produced Black Star album is a tragedy

I was craving a concert really bad last night so I ended up cruising the old YouTube machine and remembered a DVD I had of The Raconteurs years ago. Turns out there is a beautiful high quality rip of the entire show and I ended up watching the whole thing. I hadn’t seen it over a decade. Highly recommend. This band was tight as fuck at this point and great hair era for JW https://youtu.be/a-SeNaClWmo
I can fuck with it. I’ll take this over another ho-hum album of Keys songs any day https://media2.giphy.com/media/5pUHtgG70JjO9YHZPD/giphy.gif?cid=82a1493bin06sgom7b6wzrbe6lhiij3qdwdfl9sz8c7hupq2&rid=giphy.gif

“A part of me wishes I could spend the next two hours deconstructing the whole thing, but there’s levels of complexity and nuance that I really can’t go into” She was 18 and he was 34
If anyone needs a comedown after cranking some DMX tonight, the debut album from Silver Synthetic that dropped today is really chill and good. A perfect springtime LP https://youtu.be/aTAo2JZ0DCA
