Not disagreeing with you, but what is the proper course of action for someone like Lacey at this point? Can or should someone be able to earn back public trust or affection after this sort of thing? If this truly is the run off/by-product of toxic masculinity, what can be done to restore those who are abused, and those who become abusers in part because of our culture? Can they be restored? I honestly don't have answers to any of these questions, but I feel like it's necessary to ask.
So true! And "how do you sleep?" is such a classic LCD builder. Really really digging this album.
In my haste to upvote, I accidentally downvoted, and I am so so sorry. This deserves to make it to the "Shut Up, Dude" post and I feel like I've hindered that :(
Logged in just to say that Daddy Yankee is a legend and will always be remembered in the Latinx community. Reggaeton has a lot of staying power in an increasingly Hispanic and Latinx US.
I was going to say this too, especially with the title American Dream (Infinite Jest was all about that) and the closing track being called "Black Screen." Either way, I'm into it!
I wonder how often a band like Pinegrove comes around, a band that seemingly touches on those intimate, tucked away feelings that I, and it seems like many others, hide away from the world, and upon that touch, opens up a torrent of emotion. That sounds like hyperbole, especially if you haven't bought into their hype or heard them yet, but I promise that's how I feel when I hear "Aphasia" and "Old Friends."
I mean if Papa J Tilly and Robin "Erudite" Pecknold can be brought around, maybe there's a chance with The Queen.
The internet is weird and beautiful
My dad and I got a good chuckle out of the "limp noodle" appellation. Thanks for that one.
I imagine that not even David Bowie can make some of those who are bitter about LCD's reunion think a little more sweetly of James Murphy. But that is some real solid advice about making yourself uncomfortable!
At first I thought this was talki about Adam Scott, and was thinking in my head that there was no way Icetown supported Trump.
I hear you on "It's Time." I still think that song is a pretty fun reminiscence to right before I graduated college and was feeling optimistic about life and things. Also, it was in the trailer or soundtrack for The Perks Of Being A Wallflower, which was a pretty formative book when I was in high school, so there's a few positive associations for me. But everything else has been pretty not good.
I wish I enjoyed their new songs as much as their hijinks. Although, I do like "Creature Comfort" a fair bit.
Seconding that, even tho I can't imagine it happening
Angel Olsen as gryffindor huffle rising seems spot on to me hahah
