All awful, all the time.

Part of me wishes they'd make a shirt with one of their album covers on it.

I love when loud/angry bands use sampled beats. See also: Necro Deathmort. At one of their shows a friend said "They're good, but they need a drummer," and I didn't speak to him for the rest of the evening.

Wishing death on anyone is dumb. Howard Stern is a boring sack of shit tho.

I'm always a sucker for a simple riff getting pounded into the ground.

September 10, 2019 on Supergrass Announce Reunion Tour & Box Set, Share Cover Of The Police’s “Next To You”
Everyone knows that if streaming services paid artists a fair amount they wouldn't be able to stay afloat, right? They haemorrhage money. Spotify has never turned a profit. Apple Music is funded by sales of Mac Books and iPhones.

That Peripheral Vision got a 6.6 is fucking disgraceful and a stain on the indie rock community.

I do still know 'Back for Good' front-to-back, upside-down. It's an honestly amazing song.

September 7, 2019 on It’s Been 20 Years Since Robbie Williams Failed To Take America
'Back for Good' is basically ALL Gary Barlow, though. I've never been a fan of Robbie post-Take That, but during those years he was definitely my favourite of the group. He was the cool, cute joker. I wanted to be him, and be with him—despite being at an age where I was still figuring out what that meant. And those are the reasons he was in the group. He wasn't there for his vocal abilities, which really are very average. If I remember right they'd let him sing lead on a song an album max, which is probably why he was the first to leave.

Did I miss something or was there no Swans coverage here? Anyway, new track, album announcement, and there's gonna be a track with The fucking Necks. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3ZVZo30M8Lc

September 6, 2019 on Ruston Kelly – “Screaming Infidelities” (Feat. Chris Carrabba) (Dashboard Confessional Cover)
Thanks to Billy Socks I'm a Ruston Kelly convert, but this song has always been awful. Does anyone remember a drawing some internet artist did way back in the day of Chris Carrabba's face exploding titled Your Brains Is Everywhere? It seems to have been scrubbed from the internet, and that's not supposed to be possible...

A lot of bands who have been together longer than the average age of PoG haven't come up with a fraction of the ideas in their dozen or so hours of creative output that these fucking punk upstarts have in their 33 minutes.

When I was roofing I'd disturb a lot of bats, make 'em homeless. One time I speared a momma and her tiny baby was still clinging to her. Still feel awful about that one however many years later. At least I never got bit. Knew a dude who got did and couldn't catch the bat to get it tested, though. Apparently they give you rabies injections at the site of the wound? He got bit on the head. Still think bats are really cute though, in spite of the rabidness.

September 3, 2019 on Burning Man Hosted A Dance Party For The New Tool Album
I bought Lateralus on a trip to CA and listened to it non stop. On the flight home I fell asleep with it on headphones and woke up after they'd dimmed the lights and drawn the blinds, everyone around me asleep, and 'Faaip de Oiad' in my ears. Obviously thought I was being abducted midflight. It was great.
