All awful, all the time.

Comments from brokeaccount

This feels more like an elaborate trolling on Tyler's part than anything.

"We knew we couldn’t make it illegal to be either against the war or black, but by getting the public to associate the hippies with marijuana and blacks with heroin, and then criminalizing both heavily, we could disrupt those communities. We could arrest their leaders, raid their homes, break up their meetings, and vilify them night after night on the evening news. Did we know we were lying about the drugs? Of course we did." —John Ehrlichman, Assistant to the President for Domestic Policy under Richard Nixon Things haven't changed all that much in the last 50 years.

cappie, you're the purest heart around these parts, and I want you to know that both you and your takes (which to me so often seem to come from fresh and unexpected perspectives) are appreciated.

To me it's just exceptionally well-made and powerful. The editing; Johns mind being mirrored in the landscape of Venice; the portrayal of grief; THAT sex scene which is important as a piece of film in and of itself (and people to this day claim it was unsimulated, despite apparently being very awkward and difficult to shoot). It's just an incredible film, and really important in terms of pushing horror as a genre into new places and I think you can still see the effects of it today. But if it doesn't connect with you, it doesn't connect with you.

Under the Skin is easily both my favourite horror movie and horror score of the past decade. I was afraid it wasn't going to make the list as I kept scrolling and scrolling, very happy to see it in the number one spot.

Twin Peaks is horror. Sometimes when I'm lying in bed at night I imagine BOB standing next to my chest of drawers peeking over at me with that maniacal grin on his face and I feel a chill run through my bones.

Oddly (or perhaps not) employment discrimination due to political affiliation is not protected under Federal law—so perhaps refusing to denounce a racist imbecile was the smart move.

If Carrion Crawler/The Dream isn't a 10/10 classic LP then there are no 10/10 classic LPs. I mean, apart from the fact that it's technically two EPs.

Beautiful, classic design... Then under the hood it's a new-tech monster that'll eat up that 1/4 mile like nothin'. Mine is a 256GB and I've been thinking of upgrading to 512GB because I've got to the point where I have to chop and change from time-to-time to make room. Still love it, though.
