I got my booster last night, I’m on two weeks holiday, and I’m excited about a new AnCo album for the first time in years. Let’s go.
Well it certainly is a Red Hot Chili Peppers song.
“I’ve noticed a few people mentioning that Rachel is a hack writer.” Said nobody.
This week is the last week I am able to eat or pay rent because there is so much good stuff coming out.
In other news the Mighty Mighty Bosstones were still together.
I’m looking forward to the Rogan/Swift/Morrissey cage match this week will inevitably end in. This fucking week man.
I feel old and out of the loop, but dammit that’s on me, and I love your enthusiasm.
My brother in law is a cellist and a massive metal fan. He would’ve appreciated it.
I’ve been revisiting earlier Deerhoof albums and they make me feel nice.
“Our original plan was we would record both the albums back-to-back and then go tour on that. And that would have been this year.” Mate.
I came here to shit talk the Spin Doctors and left charmed instead. Well played Stereogum.
I listened to this for the first time in a while and man, it’s such a great album. I’m super excited for the new album.
These kids are going to go far.
“The Doja Cat concert went on as planned.“ Thoughts and prayers.
But did’t basically everyone agree that Human After All was garbage?
Fixed::Context by Labradford is a really good one. Any instrumental Jim O’Rourke stuff is worth a look, especially Bad Timing. If you never went down the Ermeralds/Mark McGuire/Steve Hauschildt rabbit hole that’s a pretty good one too. Look after yourself dude.
As someone whose favourite band is Radiohead he’s not always wrong.
A good week for the TNOCS crowd, a bad week for Bloc.
The Armed brand new just before Christmas and then a Luscious Jackson album second hand on Monday. I don’t know what it’s like elsewhere but vinyl prices in Australia are disgusting.
I mean Noel spends more time talking than actually making music these days.
