November 8, 2018 on Vampire Weekend LP4 Coming In 2019
Another album in the fine tradition of album titles with exclamation points in. Like Yes Lawd! and er...several others I can't think of right now

I might just get the soundtrack and leave the rest of the internet to argue about the film itself.

October 25, 2018 on Suspiria Does Too Much
Doesn't have an issue with working with Chris Brown or Dr Dre though (I don't care that he works with them myself, just pointing out that there's not much consistency here with what is considered unacceptable)

October 12, 2018 on T.I. Disavows Kanye West After Donald Trump Meeting
Waiting for the Trump tweet later this week where he says: 'Just got a preview of the Kanye album. Blew me away, miles better than Taylor's last record! Glad!'

October 9, 2018 on Kanye West Expected To Meet With Donald Trump At White House
There's been around a gazillion articles here about him over the last week, nobody's cancelling that much clickbait

Greg in Succession isn't so evil! Not yet anyway... Steven Mnuchin has been exec producer on a couple of really good films https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steven_Mnuchin#Filmography

September 28, 2018 on Mos Def & Talib Kweli Are Black Star Turns 20
2020: Kanye will be at some Trump re-election campaign rally and the music press will say 'you've gone too far this time Kanye!' and then they'll slavishly cover everything he does anyway (and give his new album 6/10)

September 24, 2018 on The Beatles Announce 50th Anniversary “White Album” Reissue With Previously Unreleased Tracks
There used to be the Shortlist Prize, but that didn't last too long. The Canadian Mercury is the Polaris Prize, and that tends to be much more interesting than the Mercury lately

September 21, 2018 on Wolf Alice Win 2018 Mercury Prize
The Juno isn't the Canadian Mercury though, it's the Canadian Brits/Grammys (and the Brits/Grammys are awful)

September 21, 2018 on Wolf Alice Win 2018 Mercury Prize
I do like Wolf Alice, but I think they can make a better album than Visions of a Life, and I would have preferred Nadine Shah (who probably scuttled her chances when she slated the prize) or Everything Everything to win. I predicted Wolf Alice would win though, most of the time the Mercury goes for an act on its first/second album, and in the last few years it's become really London-centric - six winners this decade from London, including four of the last five

July 19, 2018 on Chance The Rapper Shares 4 New Songs
The last three definitely won't happen in 2018. Chromatics probably won't either. Of the remainder only Vampire Weekend, Chance and Anderson have a chance. And there's a decent chance none of those will be out this year either.
