that 'Lazy Sunbathers' song was good, though, don't you think, Mr. bareass? Below you appear (I know, it's a lawyer word I don't like either) to be calling me 'humorless'. But at least I tried. Where is objective evidence that you have one? What I read is that you are representing about what, 95-5%, yet are deeply angered and unhappy about that 5%. Why? This is what I honestly think. You need more than one point of view for balance. I am fully able to bear your opinion, my god, it's angrily repeated over and over and over on these two topics, but you cannot bear disagreement with your opinion. But you know what? I think if you would really try, you could bear it (allowing another person to voice a different opinion). thanks. p.s. you would have been happy back then when Oscar Wilde was jailed too...
This is a good point. Maybe other opinions are displeasing, but one can bear them if one tries. Right? A lot of the Morrissey haters, it seems to me, need to try harder.
so I'm cancelled? oh, well, I knew it was coming sooner or later. Let's do end the lock-down next?
oh, well, what are you going to do? So...if I am reading you correctly, the only people who are sincere, must by rule, hate Morrissey and perhaps execute him as well. Not to be so inclined, makes one inhuman, apathetic, and self-indulgent. and you criticize me for making light of your sheep butt picture!
Okay, but don't say I didn't warn you. Sure, there might be that like-minded euphoria that first night, when you bonded by your self-righteous Morrissey-hatred. But then, he'll clearly only think of you as 'the Second Sex.' Just sayin... you didn't help--not a surprise, so I am left on my own to theorize. maybe throwing shade came from some dark blue place, like San Francisco or Berkeley, where it is SO cold, that the last thing you would want is shade or someone throwing it at you. That's the best I got right now...
seriously, Simone, I think you should stay away from that beardo guy, unless you want to 'spend the night getting caned,' as Amy would say...
by the way, off the subject, Simone, but maybe you can make yourself useful. Why is 'shade' or 'throwing shade' supposed to be bad? I've lived in some really hot places, with the large mosquitos and flying beetles, little snakes in your front yard, shade is 'good'. If someone throws me some shade, that would be good, like saying, 'here, have some iced tea, friend.'
?? Is this where I ask whether your picture icon is a sheep's butt? I know. that sounded a little bit rude. But I'm trying to conform to the internet. This gold prospector guy advised me to do so.
This is, I'm afraid what caused this big problem. No, it was not Morrissey's fault. With the conformity of the generation that gets all their news online, so most other media went out of business, the all-important 'click-bait' took hold, ensuring that people going to a site they choose, will always be agreed with and never disagreed with. again, Morrissey does not conform to this format so well. neither does Maher. My many many thumbs downs tells me that neither do I. Again, to summarize, on this site, discussing this topic, Morrissey bad, Simpsons show by writers who knew almost nothing about him, good. People who question these rules as less than fully democratic: bad.
You know what strikes me as obliviously snowflake, though? Respectfully, it's this site's policy of removing frightening and scary comments once you and your VERY like-minded regulars thumbs down 5 times. This is reducing the range of democratic thought, isn't it? This is the fragility of would-be wokedom conformity.
why do you care? It's my choice. For example, you want to model yourself after some gold prospector in the 19th century, that's your business, I don't care/
what pray tell is the larger problem? not being woke enough?
Is flounce supposed to be a homophobic slur?
It's not very funny, so you won't miss anything. but don't pretend you don't understand the point he was making. Bill Maher makes a very similar one. that is, to the woke crowd, who come with their own judge and jury, there can be only one approved opinion, and if you are in any way nuanced, you risk being called a hate crime (and canceled). This is true.
I know! 'It's so easy to hate, it takes guts to be gentle and kind. ' a great man said that.
people like you will have me banned soon, for not falling in line with the party thought.
I don't browse Yahoo answers because they've banned me. Try to keep up, here, baldo.
Since he is in Los Angeles, wouldn't it be great if we can get Morrissey to Maher's show this Friday? He can sit for that opening interview, right where Sharon Osborne was last week, for almost identical reasons, they could say almost the same things. You guys can act horrified, and hate on Maher for daring to talk to Morrissey, who to you, is about the same as Chauven because you stomped your foot and said so?
