did you read it? she has an entire section about how “good” music taste has never been allowed to include things young girls like, which is completely cooked. what’s the implication of that? young girls are dumb and young boys have good taste? there is no objective value for good art and some of this music holds up better than those white af mid 2000s indie new york indie scene albums that got heaped with endless praise and best of lists at the time. it’s ok to reappraise old thoughts and bias’ as we go on, it doesn’t mean that good art is dying
