Hey now, the first two Daughn Gibson albums (plus the "Lite Me Up" single!) rule, but let's not drag the good name of Speedy Ortiz through the mud here.

March 27, 2019 on Lil Nas X’s “Old Town Road” Might Herald A Whole New Era For Country-Rap
I think about the "They should have never let Cena spit with Wiz Khalifa" lyric at least once a week. I love it. Arguably one of the truest things ever rapped.

I liked FLOTUS pretty well, but DJ Koze really sold me on the idea of Kurt Wagner over electronics. Excited for this one.

Count me in the Laughing Stock > Spirit of Eden camp, but both are obviously incredible. Going straight through those two and into the solo album is two hours of transcendence. Also, I will forever find it absolutely nuts that his final released piece of music was for the Kelsey Grammer vehicle Boss. That's up there with "Orson Welles is Unicron" for bizarre final works.

Between this and Danny Brown's "XXX," rap songs referencing Squidward have a 100% success rate with me.

You're wrong because it's completely irrelevant whether or not she cheated on her boyfriend. If Hall pressured her into cheating, that's wrong regardless of how she reacted. There's no situation in which she could have done something that would have made his actions right.

September 27, 2018 on Pinegrove Address “Sexual Coercion” Statement, New Album Skylight Out This Friday
If you're approaching Billy Corgan at an airport to complain about a concert from 24 years ago, you are creating a situation involving 2018 Billy Corgan in which you, not he, are the asshole. This is not a move you want to make.

There we are! After a handful of listens, fairly confident calling this his best album yet. Though that's a bit of a tough call, since he's so consistent in both tone and quality. Still, this is great.
