So happy to see Cloud Rat on here! I heard them recently and was totally blown away by their diversity and how good it works for them. I ordered the LP immediately! Same story with Occultist, I had to have that on vinyl asap. It's pretty neat you mentioned Circle Takes The Square as well. I really feel like that album got so overlooked last year. And the vinyl pressings they released were absolutely stunning. I am just really reassured that Black Market cares about spotlighting all types of great music. Isn't that sweet?

Cool, yea I agree with that. Sorry if I came of as challenging or rude, I just wanted to start a conversation :) It's nice that the media finally caught up to their level, as well as others. Thanks for sharing!

May 10, 2013 on ASG – “Blood Drive” (Stereogum Premiere)
I wouldn't really associated ASG with this 'trend' of clean vocals. They have been making music like this for over a decade and have never cared what was going on around them. Also I don't see a trend, I just think that the metalcore movement is pretty much over so other bands bands are gaining more attention after making music for 10 years+. Unless you're Opeth, in that case they were just bored with straight forward metal all the time.

I can't really tell what I think. First time through it just seems to long. I would've liked something more to the point, but we will see what the rest of the CD sounds like!

July 16, 2012 on No Doubt – “Settle Down”
Not to mention the extensive use of whistles! Man, good times. Nothing gets me more jacked up then a sweet serenade of whistles, barking and DMX spitting violently, ' 1! 2! Meet me outside!'

I love where they went with Diamond Eyes, but it's always got to be Adrenaline. Nothing else can get me quite that excited. : D
