If they're really that broken up about it we should be directing them to the encouragement hotline.

July 1, 2017 on Adele Cancels This Weekend’s Wembley Shows In Emotional Statement
I See a Darkness is one of the greatest albums ever made. It's up there with Dylan's best, or any other classic songwriter you might want to mention. It is pretty much perfect in every way, I could spend entire years talking about that album without stopping

I would totally fuck Courtney. I bet she knows where to get the BEST drugs. Also: that last Hole record wasn't too shabby.

Sounds like Michael Stipe on vocals, but I'm stoned.

'60's and '70's folk rock is not folk music. More people need need to hear the new Southeast Engine record.

I finally saw Frog Eyes last year. They were opening, and Mercer was sick, but they still managed to pull off one of the sets I saw year.

If it were Eleanor doing this I'd be all over it. Matthew by himself kind of bores me.

I love Albini as much (maybe more than) as the next guy, but the guy a fucking production for a Bush record. Don't get me wrong, I loved that record when I was a kid in the mid-'90's, but isn't that the pot calling the kettle a little bit racist?

Probably because I see so much coverage on that I'm numb to the idiocy by now. But really, no matter how dumb this thing is (and it will be spectacularly dumb) it's going to make boatloads of money.

August 30, 2010 on The War On Drugs – “Comin’ Through”
I'm hoping they go in a completely different direction than Stage Names/Stand Ins. I didn't like the first and the second was only marginally better. I realize I'm mostly alone in this. OR have long been one of my favorite bands, but I prefer the darker, more folk oriented stuff. I'll wager that whatever the next record will be completely different from anything that came before.

Eels have been a waste of time since at least Shootenanny! They used to be my favorite band, so it's really sad. Electroshock Blues is probably responsible for keeping me alive through high school.
