generic orange soda

A person disguised as a bottle of store brand orange soda who likes to browse the Stereogum comment sections. Very into emo. They/them, if it matters. The profile pic is from Wegman's but I am not.

It's actually not a terrible plan. I feel like it would be a lot to put into practice though. Also I hope he's doing well health-wise after the diagnosis earlier this year. I don't think he should be involved in any concerts until the pandemic has been resolved or he's probably gonna put himself in harm's way.

Riley seems like he was a far kinder man and better person altogether than this man deserved as a friend (as per Scott's comment above).

One acclaimed not-yet-streaming band available on Bandcamp now and a nice box set in time for the holidays to boot? Nice.

That sounds REALLY fucking good. I also like this single a lot if that is any indication of where I should go with the rest.

10 tracks is a much more manageable length for me, so I will probably hear this before I hear 7G.

Schoolhouse Rock (past their heyday) did an electoral college song before but personally I prefer the TMBG one. https://youtu.be/oyIFqf3XH24

Well I wasn't quite expecting to see a guy with a massive case of Hank Hill Butt on Stereogum but I guess it's that kinda day.

I mean a 50 song Dear Nora project can realistically only run about 75 minutes max, right? What I love about them (and The Softies and Frankie Cosmos and other similar artists) is their ability to do much in such short time.

August 6, 2020 on Dear Nora – “Time Is Now (Autumn Version)”
Okay let me rephrase because I was born in '93: I wasn't even *cognizant of pop culture* for most of them because I was too young.

In all honesty though sometimes you just don't dig something and can't put a name on why you don't, and that is fine.

Don't get me wrong I love The 1975 even though they're kind of ridiculous. I just think Bea is probably just a nice kid who likes old-school indie rock. They're not uncommon. (Sidenote: oh Jesus, the 90s are old-school now, I wasn't even alive for most of them!) Also not to get philosophical but if you think about it isn't 99% of music (and art, for that matter) about posing as something? Even the stuff that's all like "no this is authentically me" is about selling particular breeds of authenticity if you really get down to it.
