Got goosebumps watching that. A top ten song from last year. Glad they got a break from a brutal Canadian winter.
This jam sounds really good. Tony Kiedis Irish accented verses not so much.
Kind of good? Nice to hear growl on the drums. As usual a lyric video doesn’t help Gallaghers music but I was surprised how much I enjoyed this.
Hmm. I didn’t assume it was for male attention. I’m not a heterosexual male and nor did I comment on her breasts. I was just defending the other commenters right to do so. But I get where you are coming from it just seemed more complicated then “Getting with the times”. But I should stay out of it. Good song!
If you didn’t catch the porny undertone well that’s ok. I liked the song. But it looks like some people found the underboob more remarkable than the music. Not arguing that its objectifying. But it’s deliberate and fair to comment on is all I’m saying. If it was a guy in a crop top and a sexy costume I’m sure people would be commenting on his abs.
Out of touch with the times or not the video is an official video meaning it’s part of the product. It’s fair to comment on. Grace knows what she is doing and her success is connected to her image.
It is good. Dear and Deer means its going to be great.
Hundred miles off was a bit disappointing. And I totally forgot about pussy cats.
This is a nice replacement for the Sun Kil Moon I stopped listening to.
“By then I was bald, broke and 39” Awe. I saw the Walkman on the their first tour and they blew me away. I caught their next 5 tours and I was always bummed that they played the same small club every time. Other bands like the national got bigger and bigger. You and Me is a classic and they deserved to graduate to our bigger nightclubs. I guess people don’t care about their brand of grandpa rock.
Great song. I need to catch up on this guys work. Hamilton always said Walter was the driving force in the Walkman. I never knew what he meant.
Regarding Tembo.. Damon has the habit of ruining the flow of really good albums with a peppy One offs that don’t fit. Think Magic Whips ong ong or think tanks crazy beat.
Beautiful. This albums been on repeat, I really like it. One of his best.
Fun. Probably my favourite Foo song since Rope.
It’s true. He man and fragile rock were my favourite so I’m not complaining. But a lot of Gen Z seem to be having trouble with the word boomer lately, even tho they have the easiest access to dictionaries of any generation.
First tape I ever bought. RIP.
What a song statement. Good tune. Plan on following this guy until the end.
Solid but poppier than I remember Secret Canadian artists being.
I really liked the first chapter but I also didn’t think they would break new sounds and I worried the album would eventually fall into a thank your lucky stars category. Which is good but my least favourite. So happy to be surprised with each batch being better than the last.
I’m with you but I’d replace Physical Graffiti with the Wall.
Love this album. Sunset is so gorgeous.
Blood Bitch meets What’s Going On. Love it.
That was my first thought. Pearl Jam could use more good songs lately.
Hope Six was disappointing but yeah if you love PJ Harvey give Let England Shake another go when the time is right. It’s really special.
That was great! Been a daily reader for 10 years. Nice to hear your voices!
Wow. Great love band. Success deserved.
Yeah, maybe it was timing but if you like these songs it hard to imagine not liking they want my soul. One of spoons best front to back records.
A great day for new music and this is the song that I can’t stop listening to.
Man what a day. New Apollo Ghosts, Destroyer, Cate Le Bon and now Spoon.
New sound for him. This rules.
PTA doesn’t need awards but I really hope liquorice pizza grabs a few this season.
I love dune so much. Watched it 11 times so far. Power of the dog was a better score tho.
To clarify it’s not unexpected that it would be great,Johnny and Thom can do no wrong, just this no age vibe surprised me and put a smile on my face.
Pitchfork says “ Greenwood’s guitar is a brutishly effective, three-chord palm-muted chug that a pre-teen could pick up in 30 seconds“ I don’t know. It’s simple but deceptively so. I think a youngster would get thrown by the 5/4 time signature.
Pretty good. Maybe needs a stronger lyric hook. Or maybe I’m just slightly underwhelmed because I just came here after hearing the smile. But this should make it onto my GBV mixtape.
I worked out in the mirror to this song every morning when I was nine. 2 pound pink weights that I stole from my sister. Good times.
Not me. I loved it but would have no problem if velvet underground won.
Those are my top picks too. Power of the dog was good but Spencer was better. Want to hear The tragedy of Macbeth. I’m a big Wes Anderson fan but found the French dispatch score annoying. I’d throw in The Green Knight in my top 5. Hope it gets other awards attention.
